I certainly hope not! But...it's been scheduled for next week. If Madison doesn't make her grand debut on her own, we have to report to the hospital at 6:30pm on Oct. 2. :(
I called the hospital yesterday to see if the rooms have DVD players. They don't, but we can use our laptops to watch movies and they have wifi. And...she said we can plug into the walls. When we had our tour of the hospital, the lady that gave us the tour told us we'd have to use battery power for all of the electronics we might bring with us to the hospital. Just knowing that little bit of info, made the idea of having to be there a little more tolerable.
I hope she comes on her own before then. The doc warned that induction can take awhile. Great...but maybe the drugs will work fast. :) So, they'll start out with tablets that will be inserted (you guys can figure out where the point of insertion will be...). They can do this a few times if necessary. And then if more coaxing is needed, they'll give me pitocin in my IV. Yeah, not so thrilled about having an IV either. I just have to be hard wired for an IV and don't have to be connected to any tubes. The doc said that most women don't need the pitocin after using the tablets. So, we'll see...but let's just all hope she comes out on her own. ;)
